Terms of Use
Effective date: 14 July 2026 · Last updated: 24 July 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bible Streak mobile application, this website,
and related services (the "App" or "Services"), provided by Reachly Apps (Reuben Obery)
("Reachly Apps", "we", "us", "our").
By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and your relationship with Apple
- You must be able to form a binding contract where you live.
-
The App is not intended for children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required where you live. If you
are below that age, do not use the App.
-
If you download the App from Apple's App Store, these Terms are between you and Reachly Apps, not Apple. Apple
is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
2. What Bible Streak is, and what it is not
Bible Streak is a faith-habit app: reading streaks, timers, reminders, Bible plans, app-blocking tools, optional
social and accountability features, and AI-assisted reflections.
The App is not professional advice. It does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic,
pastoral, counselling, spiritual-direction or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care or
for the ministry of a real church, minister or clinician. You use it at your own discretion and risk.
The App is not an emergency or safeguarding service. It does not monitor you, and no human
reads what you write. If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services or a
crisis line such as the Samaritans (116 123 in the UK) immediately.
3. AI features
Parts of the App use artificial intelligence to generate short reflections, summaries and themes based on what
you write. By using these features you acknowledge and agree that:
-
The output is machine-generated. It is produced by a large language model, not by a person,
a minister, or Reachly Apps, and it does not represent our views or those of any church.
-
It can be wrong. AI output may be inaccurate, inappropriate, theologically mistaken, or
simply unhelpful. Do not rely on it for any important decision, and always weigh it against Scripture and
trusted human counsel.
-
It is not divine revelation. Nothing the App generates should be treated as a message from
God, a prophecy, or authoritative spiritual instruction.
-
Your text is sent to third-party AI providers outside the UK in order to generate a response,
as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not enter information you are not comfortable
sending, including details about other identifiable people.
-
Automated wellbeing flagging is best-effort only. The App attempts to detect signs of crisis
in what you write and surface support, but this is automated, unmonitored, may fail, and creates no duty of
care or obligation on us to intervene, contact you, or contact anyone else on your behalf.
-
AI features are optional and can be turned off in Settings. We may change, limit or withdraw
them at any time.
4. Your account
- Some features require an account, created via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure.
-
You are responsible for activity under your account, except where it results from our gross negligence or
wilful misconduct.
- You can delete your account at any time from within the App.
5. Subscriptions, purchases and billing
- Paid features are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system unless we state otherwise in the App.
-
Payment processing, refunds and subscription management are handled by Apple, and by the subscription
platforms we use (such as RevenueCat), subject to Apple's terms.
-
Pricing, trial length and renewal terms are shown in the App or on the App Store before you buy. Subscriptions
renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple ID subscription settings.
-
Free trials. If a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of
the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
-
We may change prices or offerings where permitted by Apple and applicable law. Material changes will be
communicated to you in advance where the law requires it.
-
Shared and gifted access (Prayer Partner). Where the App lets you give premium access to
another person (for example by pairing with a Prayer Partner), that access is a courtesy tied to your own
paid subscription. It is not a separate purchase by the other person, gives them no independent right to
premium access, and ends automatically if your subscription lapses, is cancelled or refunded, or if you
unpair. We may limit, change or withdraw this feature at any time.
-
UK and EU consumers. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including any
right to cancel a purchase within the applicable cooling-off period. Refunds for App Store purchases are
handled by Apple.
6. Licence to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install
and use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules and applicable law.
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the App, except where the law expressly allows it;
- circumvent technical limits, security, or payment mechanisms;
- use the App in violation of law or of anyone else's rights;
- scrape, overload, or interfere with the Services, or use them to train a competing model or service;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the App without our prior written consent.
7. Your content and conduct
-
You keep ownership of the content you write in the App. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display that content only as needed to operate,
secure and support the Services for you, including sending it to our AI providers when you use an AI
feature. We do not use your private reflections in marketing.
- You confirm you have the rights to the content you submit.
-
You must not upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent,
sexually explicit, spam, or malware, or that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual property rights. This
applies particularly to usernames, profile details, and anything visible to friends.
- We may remove content or restrict features where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or the Services are at risk.
Public content
Some features publish your content to other users. Reflections you post to the Community feed,
and comments and "Amen" reactions you leave there, are visible to other Bible Streak users together with your
display name and profile photo. Do not post anything you would not want other people to read; once others have
seen a post, we cannot recall their copies of it.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in Bible Streak. By using
any feature that publishes content or contacts other users, you agree not to post, send or share content that is
abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, deceptive,
spam or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, impersonate or exploit other users. We operate the
following safeguards:
- Filtering. Published content is subject to automated and manual checks, and we may remove or withhold content at our discretion.
- Reporting. Every piece of user content can be reported from within the app.
- Blocking. You can block another user from within the app, which hides their content from you and stops them contacting you.
- Action within 24 hours. We aim to review reports of objectionable content and act on them — removing the content and, where warranted, ejecting the user who posted it — within 24 hours of the report.
- Contact. You can also reach us at [email protected].
Accounts that post objectionable content or abuse other users may be suspended or permanently terminated
without notice or refund.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its name, branding, design, text, graphics and underlying software are owned by Reachly Apps or our
licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Bible translations and other licensed content remain
the property of their respective copyright holders. Except for the limited licence in Section 6, no rights are
granted to you.
9. Third-party services
The App integrates with third-party services, including Apple, Google and Firebase, RevenueCat, Adapty,
AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok for Business, Sentry, OpenRouter and Moonshot AI. Your use of those services is subject
to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Updates and availability
We may release updates, some of which may be required for continued use. We do not guarantee that the Services
will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably
necessary, for example for security, legal or operational reasons.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available",
without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate,
appropriate, or suitable for any purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including
liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for
breach of your non-waivable statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
-
Reachly Apps, and its contractors and suppliers, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special,
consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from or
relating to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
-
We will not be liable for any decision you take, or refrain from taking, in reliance on AI-generated output or
on the absence of an automated wellbeing flag.
-
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Services or these Terms is limited
to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) GBP £50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reachly Apps from claims, damages,
losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your content, or your
breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. This does not
apply where you are a consumer acting outside the course of a business, to the extent the law does not allow it.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, pose a security
risk, or if we must do so to comply with the law. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account
from within it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15) do
so.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales have
exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the App.
If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory
consumer laws of your country, and you may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date
and, where the change is material, give notice in the App. If you keep using the App after the changes take
effect, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Reachly Apps about the App.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
- No waiver. Failing to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
-
Apple as third-party beneficiary. If you downloaded the App from the App Store, you
acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them
against you.
